The Quick and Dirty:
A fake marriage to reform an author’s bad boy reputation, a shy but sharp book blogger who hasn’t ever been kissed.  Sparks ignite and forever afters are found.

If you’ve read any of Staci Hart’s books, you’ll know her books are page turners. I read this one in a sitting. The Red Lipstick Coalition Series is quickly becoming one of my favorites of hers — they’re witty, fun, laugh out loud funny and full of feeling. Pick this one up and prepare to add the rest of Staci’s books to your TBR.

Amelia is the shy blogger who has a lot to say when books are involved and while she might be petite, her personality packs a punch. Thomas Bane is the bad boy with a golden heart that all us book bloggers love to swoon over. Thomas is having a bout of writer’s block but combined with his fist’s recent run in with someone’s face, his publisher is threatening to drop him if he doesn’t reform his ways and deliver his book in the process. He asks his greatest critic, Amelia for help (via fake marriage) but doesn’t realize he’ll find his muse, and the love of his life in the process.

I never thought my first kiss would be on my wedding day.

But here I stand, clutching a bouquet of pale pink roses behind the doors of a Las Vegas chapel, and at the end of the aisle is the absolute last man I imagined would be waiting for me.

Thomas Bane.

Bestselling author. Notorious bad boy. Savagely handsome, dark as sin, chiseled as stone. And somehow, my soon-to-be husband.

Marry him, and I’ll land my dream job. Save him, and I’ll walk away with everything I’ve ever wanted. All I have to do is remember it’s all for show. None of it is real, no matter how real it feels.

But first, I have to survive the kiss.

And with lips like his, I don’t stand a chance.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom to three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, even though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey, and her favorite word starts with f, ends with k.

From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north in Denver, until they grew a wild hair and moved to Holland. It’s the perfect place to overdose on cheese and ride bicycles, especially along the canals, and especially in summertime. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, gaming, or designing graphics.
