~REVIEW🖋~
The Quick and Dirty: Cardan is on the throne, and Jude is in the background as his senechal, pulling the strings. Cardan’s brother wants him off the throne and makes a deal with someone very powerful to attempt to take the crown for himself. Betrayals abound in this book and while Jude is clever, she doesn’t see the biggest one coming. The one that very well could change her life forever.
The betrayal and angst was real in this one. It legitimately took my two days to come to terms with the ending… And while I kind of hate Cardan, I think I hate myself more for wanting him and Jude to work things out. That’s bad, right? I mean, I want him to grovel and pay for what he’s done but I also love them together. I also need to know what happens with Nicasia. I want to see her crash and burn (hopefully).
I’m reading out of order but I’m off to read The Lost Sisters which gives some insight into Taryn’s story. Check back for that review soon!
