The Quick and Dirty: Nova, demi-goddess descendant of the god Set, chaos wielder and witch extraordinaire works on stopping her adoptive father’s nefarious misdeeds with her harem of mages (+2).

If I cared what people thought about my reading preferences, I’d call this a guilty pleasure, but since I don’t, I’ll say that it’s a 🔥 af dark fantasy that I devoured, the same way Ever does Nova’s mouth. (***)

Nova is a petite heroine who is equal parts hilarious and naive as she is dark and mildly psychotic. In this sophomore novel of the series, Nova has some new friends that bring intrigue to the storyline (Hello crossovers! Yes, plural!) and while the story has had enough drama thus far to keep me interested (um, new powers what?), I think what I love most is all the interaction between Nova and her guys. Ok yes, many of their encounters are of the 🔥🔥🔥 variety that we all look for in PNR novels, but there was also just as much depth and emotion. The fact that M. Sinclair can transition from  depravity and darkness to tenderness and levity is no small feat. Each one-on-one relationship with the guys is unique and their relationships as a whole lends to such a fun dynamic. If you’re an RH fan, don’t miss this one!

My father is a serial killer.
No big deal. I promise.
Me? Upset? No. Never.
In fact, it would be really easy to pretend that the man never existed in the first place… if it wasn’t for the bodies. What bodies? Only about 200 of them. Like I said. No big deal. What is even worse? He has had a dual purpose for killing them and it isn’t just because he’s a sadistic monster. No. It is far worse than that. And if all of this wasn’t enough to deal with… I had eight men in my life.
Yes. Eight.
So how am I supposed to handle this? Who knows? Most likely it will end in blood and chaos. Wish me luck!

Join Nova on her 9 book series adventure! Book 1 contains a very small cliff hanger that simply pushes the plot along. This Fantasy slow/medium burn RH contains several dark themes that readers should be aware of: swearing (I know surprising, right?), gore, violence, assault, PTSD, and sexual themes suitable for +18. Additionally, this book does have mature m/m themes that develope over time.
