The Quick and Dirty: A must-add to your holiday book list! A hot single-dad romance + small town + just the right about of 🔥 = The best kick-off to your holiday season!
This was the absolute best way to start my holiday season reads! MJ Fields and Jessica Ruben did an amazing job drawing the reader into the world of Holiday Springs. The writing is vivid enough that you can clearly imagine the world they built without being overly flowery or long-winded. The characters are compelling and well fleshed out (to the point where I’m hoping that we hear more about some of the ancillary characters in the next book), and the story was equal parts sweet and spice. A small town book with a big heart. Love, love, love! Curl yourself by the fire and one-click this baby!
Main Cast of Characters:
Nikki: Fresh from a break-up with a jerk fiancé in NYC, Nikki is back in her small Colorado hometown to lick her wounds and hopefully head back to the city. While she gets back on her feet, she works at her family’s candy shop. Raff(erty): British, rich, single-dad that Nikki wants absolutely nothing to do with because he reminds her of her rich asshole fiancé. Widower.
Nathaniel: Raff’s adorable 11-year-old son.
Faith: Raff’s sister-in-law. Sister of Hope, Raff’s deceased wife.
Jenny: Nikki’s hilarious best friend, happily married with kids.
Nellie: Nikki’s cousin and one of the key antagonists of the story.
Beckett: Raff’s best friend and owner of Hawthorne Hotels and Resorts (also very likely the upcoming male lead in the Irresistible Irishman!)

Until my life collapsed like a clapboard house in a blizzard.
I retreat to my small hometown of Holiday Springs, where life is like a, snow globe, feeling like all of my failings are on full display.
Once I get my bearings straight, I’ll trade my old snow boots for brand new stilettos and strut back to New York City.
Nothing seems to go right until I meet a hot, British, single father with an adorable son.
He may be too good to be true.
As Holiday Springs transforms into a winter wonderland, so does my belief that this Christmas I may receive the greatest gift of all: Love.
MJ Fields is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary and new adult romance novels. She lives in New York with her daughter and smoochie faced Newfie, Theo.
When she’s not locked away in the cave, she enjoys spending time with her family, live music, the theatre, singing off key, dancing to her own beat, listening to audio books, and reading of course.
Jessica Ruben lives and works in New York City, where she spends her days dominating in the court room as an attorney. Come nightfall, she writes romances centering on gorgeous alpha males and the intelligent women who love them.
Jessica is an insatiable reader, and will devour a few books a week without batting an eyelash. Books have always been her drug of choice, and she has no plans on detox anytime soon. She has three wildly delicious children and a husband who, for reasons unimaginable to her, loves her brand of crazy.
